TEEN/ADULT INTERMEDIATE SEWING: MAKE A SCRAP SHIRT SESSION 1

Tuesdays 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We will create a scrap shirt using the skills learned in the beginning class.


Must have completed Beginning Session or demonstrated basic knowledge of machine sewing: thread and operate a machine, wind a bobbin, sew a straight line


Fabric scraps will be provided by instructor unless student wishes to use their own.


Skills Learned: 

  • Read a pattern
  • Simple sizing for body
  • Follow sewing instructions to create projects
  • Seams and their uses
  • Sew curved seams
  • Insert sleeves
  • Hems
  • Adding a collar
  • Inserting a zipper and/or creating buttonholes
