Week 5: July 17 - 24

Afternoon: 1PM - 4PM
Ages 7 - 15 $145
Minimum enrollment: 3
Materials: Bring one men's button down shirt - long sleeved
All other materials provided
Learn how to make something new from something old. Instead of throwing an item of clothing away because it is worn, out of fashion or simply out of favor, turn it into something desirable and useful.
Projects: We will be making items from a mans' dress shirt, denim, repurposed fabrics, t-shirts, etc.
Minimum enrollment: 3

Minimum enrollment: 3 Knowledge of sewing machines required Materials provided Learn the basics of free-motion embroidery to design and make fun projects such as: Small wall hanging with fabric scraps; Fabric Coasters; Thread sketching |
Afternoon: 1PM - 4PM

Ages 7 - 15 $145 Minimum enrollment: 3 Knowledge of sewing machines required Materials: Bring one small bag of Poly Fill All other materials provided Designing and making your own stuffed toy is a fun project and a great way to practice basic sewing skills. Skills learned: Operate the sewing machine; Understand sewing terms; Follow sewing instructions to create projects; Sew straight and curved seams; Hand sew a seam; Cut out simple pattern |
POLICIES
- All sales are final.
- Any change in sewing class dates must be made with Redding Fashion Alliance administration by contacting us at info@reddingfashionalliance.org 48 hours prior to first class start date.
- A liability waiver and emergency contact must be signed prior to you or your child participating in class.
- We require parents/guardians to sign their child in and out of each class.
- If your child is 16 or older they may sign themselves in and out of class with parent permission.
- Parents are allowed to accompany their child if they choose.
- We provide tools for all students.
- Please do not drop off your child more than 15 minutes early and picked up promptly at the end time of each class.
- Please let us know if your child is registered for two sessions on the same day and proved them with a lunch.
- If your child has any special needs or allergies please let us know prior to the start of class.
- If your child is dismissed from class for behavioral issues no refunds will be provided.
