Carr Fire Tote Bag Fundraiser

8/16/2018

Comments

Our Stronger Than Carr tote bag project is off and running. The community response, far and wide, has been so positive. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who have donated their time and sewing skills to make these one-of-a-kind tote bags. The beautiful fabric donated by local business ReNEWal Home Decor makes each one a unique combination of prints and colors.
Sandy Scott (pictured) and Gini Holmes, two of our volunteers and local clothing designers, have a special place in our hearts. Sandy lost her home in Old Shasta, that included all of their fabric as well as printing and dyeing equipment to the Carr Fire. Sandy and Gini are design and business partners for their handmade brand Venus d'Pyro. Venus d'Pyro was our first pop-up retail event at Redding Fashion Alliance back in January.
If you are interested in purchasing a bag they are $40 + tax. 75% of the proceeds will go to the Stronger Than Carr
Community Disaster Relief Fund, administered by the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. The tote bags are being sold on a first come, first serve basis at 1698 Market Street in Downtown Redding, and at this time they are not available for online purchase. Redding Fashion Alliance is open Wednesday-Saturday 11-4pm.
So many volunteers to thank! Gini Holmes, Jan Kearns, Sandy Scott, Lana Granfors, Francie Sullivan, Caroline Maynor, Nicole Mrazek, Pamela Llano, Tina Bennett, Judy Donovan and More!
If you are interested in volunteering - please contact Caroline at 276-0458 to schedule a time to come in or email her at caroline@reddingfashionalliance.org
