Learn the Basics of Machine Sewing
Skills Learned
- Operate the sewing machine;
- Understand sewing terms
- Follow sewing instructions to create projects
- Sew straight and curved seams
- Hand sew a seam
- Cut out simple pattern
Beginner Projects:
- Drawstring Bag
- Pillow Case
- Circle Pillow
Additional projects TBD by teacher based on student skills
No sewing experience required
Intermediate
Students with more sewing experience may work on projects of their own choice by arrangement with instructor
or
Suggested Projects:
- Apron
- Tote Bag (or bag of choice)
- Upcycled a garment from your wardrobe
