If you’re brand new to sewing or feeling overwhelmed by your machine, you'll start with machine basics. Learn how to operate your sewing machine with confidence and practice sewing straight and curved seams — the foundation for all your future projects. Choose a fun project like a pillow case, zipper pouch, tote bag, or apron — perfect for building your skills while creating something useful.

Do you want ongoing practice and guidance? You can work on a personal project at your own pace. Whether you’re sewing a garment, accessory, or custom item, you’ll get instructor support every step of the way — and learn new techniques with each creation.

This class is for teens with all levels of sewing experience.

Materials included!

Discover our commitment to sustainable creation with our curated selection of fabrics, perfect for students eager to explore their creativity. While our designs and fabric types are limited, we prioritize eco-friendly sourcing by utilizing donated materials, dead stock, and project scraps. (We gladly accept donations to cover the cost of preparing these fabrics for class use.) Students wishing to bring their own fabrics are welcome to do so. Machines, threads, tools provided.

Class transfer and cancellation policy:

Since our classes are small (6 or less students) and tend to fill up quickly, we have established the following policy in order to keep things fair for our independent teachers. 

All cancellations or transfer requests can be emailed to reddingfashion@gmail.com and can only be refunded in full if made before 72 hours prior to the scheduled class. Transfers can only be made if there is room available.

A 75% refund will be made if notified between 72 and 48 hours prior to class. 

A 50% refund will be made if you notify us less than 48 hours in advance. If you can find someone to fill your space, we’ll gladly accept them and they can pay you (acting as your refund).
