ADVENTURES IN SEWING for Home Schoolers

Students will learn:

  • Basic machine operation and troubleshooting 
  • What tools are essential for sewing
  • About using the basics of pressing temperatures on different fabrics and how to iron safely
  • Machine stitch settings and what they're typically used for (straight, zigzag, reverse, lock stitch, and more)
  • How to sew regular and French seams; how to sew, straight and curved lines
  • How to insert zippers, elastic waistbands, and use interfacing
