This is a combination class for ages 12+ for students who: Want to get help working on their own individual sewing projects OR Learn the basics of using your machine/beginning sewing and create fun easy projects like: pillow case, stuffed pillow, and apron Or are Intermediate Sewers ready for the next step. Projects- lounge pants and zippered pouch Saturdays April 14, 21, 28, May 5 2018 3:00-5:00pm
Beginning students will complete a pillowcase, circle pillow and chefs apron. Intermediate students will complete a market tote, lounge pants and zippered pouch . Material list will be provided with class registration.

Beginning sewers will learn how to
Operate the sewing machine
Cut out simple patterns
Understand sewing terms
Follow sewing instructions to create projects

Intermediate sewers will follow increasingly complex patterns to learn how to:
Read and follow a purchased pattern
Use a variety of machine stitches to finish seams to add decorative elements
Cut out and modify a pattern to fit
Install a zipper
Sew on a button
Install a zipper
Set in a sleeve
Finish a hem
Appliqued owl pillow or purse

Part 3 Fashion Show Production~ April 11 3:30-5:30, April 14 1:00-3:00pm , April 18 3:30-5:30pm April 21 TBA Ages 13-Adult $100
Instructor Pamela Llano This month will be all about show prep, culminating with a fashion show at the Whole Earth Festival on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
Prerequisites: Basic Sewing Skills are required for this class series. Some outside construction time may be needed. Complexity of projects should be based on your skill level. Some outside field trips may be offered. Participation in fashion show will require availability on the day of the show and one required rehearsal day outside of class.
